SINOPSIS

1890. Andrés Silva, a young 30-year-old officer, is sent to a military camp with the aim of contact Major Juan Carlos Noriega and jointly escort a prisoner who is in that place. When he arrives at camp, not everything is what it seems.

DIRECTOR

Ezequiel Acuña was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1976.

In 2003 Acuña's first feature NADAR SOLO (SWIMING ALONE) has its world premiere at the BAFICI (Buenos Aires Independet Film Festival) in International Competition and its European premiere at the LOCARNO Festival, to then follow a tour of Festivals that include Valencia, Torino (Best Screenplay Mention), Cuenca, Valdivia, Mexico and others.

In 2006 COMO UN AVIÓN ESTRELLADO (LIKE A CRASHED AIRPLANE), is chosen as the best Argentine film at BAFICI 2005 and wins as best director at the Punta del Este Film Festival (Uruguay) 2006. It also competes at festivals in Warsaw, Ghent, Montevideo, Toulouse, Cuenca, Gijón, among others.

In 2009 EXCURSIONES (EXCURSIONS) has its premiere in the official section of BAFICI 2009 and will later continue in festivals in London, Valdivia, Montevideo, Albacete, Miami and Lima, among others. The film is chosen by FIPRESCI (International Federation of Cinematographic Press) as the best Argentine film of the year.

LA VIDA DE ALGUIEN (SOMEBODY'S LIFE, 2014), fourth feature film, has its world premiere at the Mar del Plata International Festival in the International Competition and wins as best film at the Iquique Festival (Chile) 2016.
The same year the film obtained THE CONDOR AWARD (award granted by the Argentine film critics association) for the best soundtrack by the Uruguayan group La foca. The film is nominated for the FENIX Awards in the same category.

In 2016 he settled in Lima, Peru. and he directed his fifth film in Lima: LA MIGRACIÓN (THE MIGRATION). The film has its world premiere at the 2018 Mar del Plata International Film Festival and then follows a tour of Black Canvas (Mexico), Transcinema (Peru), Albacete (Spain), Santander (Colombia) and San Pablo (Brazil). In 2019 he won the DISTRIBUTION award granted by the Peruvian Ministry of Culture (DAFO).

THE APART is his sixth feature film.
